Epic Games is now offering a database of over 500 animations for free download as part of the Game Animation Sample Project. Indie developers can use them for their games.

According to Epic Games, it is a suitable sandbox for developers working on triple-A productions, a starting point for pre-production or a possibility learning UE gameplay animation features, and understanding Motion Matching best practices. For indie developers, the package is much more. It provides plug-and-play locomotion, as well as hundreds of game-ready animations compatible with all UE Mannequins that can be used for humanoid locomotion in their own projects. The more than 500 animations are part of an animation database that Epic Games is now offering as the Game Animation Sample Project for free download.
