According to DevGamm, the postponement is purely a precautionary measure, as the situation in Dubai is stable and public services in the city are continuing as normal. Air travel, however, is limited, with only a limited number of services resumed and schedules subject to ongoing adjustments.

In light of these circumstances, and in order to provide speakers, partners and visitors with the high-quality experience they have come to expect, the organisers of DevGamm have decided to postpone the conference, originally scheduled for 9–10 April, until 2027. A specific date has not yet been set.

“We are already working on new conference dates and will share updates as soon as possible,” said the organisers. They have also contacted everyone who has already purchased a ticket and hope to welcome them next year in Dubai or at one of the other DevGamm events.

DevGamm Dubai was due to take place for the first time in 2026. Ticket sales began in January. Maria Chyrvona spoke about the reasons behind the expansion to Dubai during an interview with GamesMarkt at DevGamm in Lisbon.
