Heroes of the Borderlands, the Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set more closely modeled after a board game experience, will release in German on 24 March 2026 as "Helden der Grenzlande". German versions of the two game master books Heroes of Faerun and Adventures of Faerun have also been announced for Summer.

The releases have been made public at GAMA Expo in the US, where Wizards of the Coast has also released roadmap for the 2026 releases of Dungeons & Dragons.

The roadmap points out the following plans:

  • Ravenloft: The Horrors Within – Release on June 16, 2026: Horror-themed sourcebook
  • Arcana Unleashed – Release in September 2026: High-magic-themed sourcebook
  • Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall – Release in September 2026: Accompanying adventure expansion

In terms of localisations, a version of Ravenloft in different languages has already been confirmed for Autumn 2026.

These planning points are embedded in a new structure called Seasons. Senior Vice President Dan Ayoub introduced the concept to give major product releases a broader context. The structure uses key book releases as anchor points to link products and game initiatives.

Season of Horror (April to June 2026): This season will be heralded by the book Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. It will be accompanied by a Tarokka deck, a DM screen, and a card pack, as well as horror-themed Organized Play events.

Season of Magic (July to September 2026): The focus will be on Arcana Unleashed and Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall. Reference card decks and themed Organized Play activities will also be released.

Season of Champions (October to December 2026): The corresponding product will be announced at a later date.
