EA Sports FC 26 Was Europe‘s Best-Selling Game in 2025
King soccer rules in 16 out of 17 European markets aggregated by GfK Entertainment, only the Czechs go domestic in their top sold game of 2025. Germany's PC ranking is as German as it comes between Farming Simulator 25 and Anno 117.
Market research data analyst GfK Entertainment has aggregated the best-selling physical games in 2025 for Germany as well as the whole of Europe.
EA Sports FC 26 the continent’s most successful video game of 2025 across all platforms. The football simulation came in first in 16 of the 17 countries surveyed. Only in the Czech Republic, the most sold title was domestic: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II took first place here.
The second place in the European year-end charts goes to Pokémon Legends: Z‑A. The Nintendo game sold particularly well in the high‑volume markets of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom (each at number two), as well as Spain (number three).
Minecraft comes in third place. GfK Entertainment ascribes the substantial boost the game got this year to the release of A Minecraft Movie. Also consistently popular were previous year’s number one EA Sports FC 25 and GTA V, which secured six and three podium places respectively.
The 2025 European annual games charts are based on physical sales data from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Germany Mirrors the Whole of Europe
The German top three games are the exact same as in the European Charts, EA Sports FC 26, Pokémon Legends: Z‑A and Minecraft on one, two and three respectively. Rankings differ only slightly per platform as well. The only platforms were EA Sports FC 26 did not top the rankings were Switch (Minecraft on one, followed by Super Mario Party Jamboree and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe) and PC (Farming Simulator 25, followed by Anno 117: Pax Romana and the Farming Simulator 25 Highlands Fishing Add-on).
