RB Leipzig Wins VBL Club Championship for the Third Time

RB Leipzig has claimed victory in the Club Championship of the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) for the third time, defeating Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the final. The individual competition will conclude at the end of April.

The Club Championship of the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) has reached its conclusion. In last weekend’s final, RB Leipzig overcame Bayer Leverkusen to secure the team title for the third time, following their previous wins in 2022 and 2023. On their path to the championship, Leipzig defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach, who had earlier knocked out FC Bayern in the intermediate round, despite Bayern finishing first in the Southeast Division during the league phase. Leverkusen reached the final by beating SC Paderborn 07, the reigning VBL Club Champion of 2024.

While the team competition is decided, the VBL season is not yet over. The playoffs for the individual title are still ahead. Following an online phase, the individual finals will take place on 26–27 April as an offline event at BASE in Cologne.
