2026 Elections in Baden-Württemberg: What Do the Parties Plan for Gaming?
With Baden-Württemberg state elections coming in March, we are collecting the parties' positions on gaming and the games industry. Both currently governing parties have plans for the games funding through MFG, while the most elaborate plans come from the FDP.

2026 is a strong election year in Germany, with several Federal States holding state elections and a bunch of others holding local elections. One of them is Baden-Württemberg, which holds federal state elections on 8 March. The south-western state is a strong technology and film location, but does not yet play in the “million league” of games funding, although it’s the biggest of the small games funding locations with about 700,000 euros in funding in 2025.
As such, we have combed the electoral programs of the democratic parties in the election for their stance on gaming.
