The DCP will be presented in Berlin next week. The Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, will also present an award. The awards ceremony for the best German games of the year will take place on 14 May 2025 at 18:00 in Berlin, where the industry will also gather.

On 14 May 2025, the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP; German Computer Game Award) will be awarded in Berlin during a big show with personalities from the world of games, culture, media and politics. The Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, will be among the guests presenting the awards. Also in attendance will be streamer Jasmin Sibel (Gnu), cosplay artist Leslie 'Farbenfuchs', Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli, comedian Kaya Yanar and presenter Ruth Moschner.

The teams behind the best games made in Germany will be celebrated at the show in the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin, hosted by Katrin Bauerfeind and Uke Bosse. The DCP is awarded in 15 categories with a total of €800,000 in prize money. This year's nominees in the 'Best German Game' category are Enshrouded (Keen Games), Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Megagon Industries) and Thronefall (Grizzly Games).

The awards ceremony begins at 18:00 and will be streamed live on several platforms (DCP YouTube channel, game Twitch channel, DCP website).

The award is organised by the German government and game - the German Games Industry Association. Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is sponsoring this year's awards.
