Genshin Impact Charity Concerts With 3,000 Visitors in Vienna and Dortmund
In November, hundreds of young musicians and choir singers from the University of Vienna and TU Dortmund performed the music of Genshin Impact as part of the Impact4Music project by HoYoverse. And 3,000 people were counted in the audience.
Two symphony orchestras took concertgoers on a journey through Teyvat, the fantasy world of Genshin Impact from HoYoverse as part of the Impact4Music project, which was first launched in Europe in 2023. This program offers free sheet music from the Genshin Impact soundtrack and provides financial support and performance opportunities for University orchestras and music enthusiasts through free college and community concerts. Impact4Music "aims to spread the culture of music and support local talents around the globe," HoYoverse said.
It was a meeting of old and new worlds as 300 musicians and choir members took to the stage of the historic Golden Hall in Vienna on 11 November, conducted by Vijay Upadhyaya. The University of Vienna also supported the UNODC Youth Initiative, Superar, YourSmile and Cool Earth and will donate part of the proceeds from the concert to support their charitable initiatives.

German concertgoers gathered in Dortmund on 25 November to enjoy more than 20 pieces from the Genshin Impact soundtrack, conducted by Julian Pontus Schirmer. 80 musicians from the TU Dortmund University Orchestra and 60 singers from the Dortmund University Choir took the fans on a journey through Teyvat. "The TU Dortmund University Orchestra is one of the largest ensembles of its kind at a technical university, and the Impact4Music project was proud to support this musical experience that blended art with social initiatives," wrote HoYoverse.

Impact4Music is the first long-term initiative under Genshin Impact's Genshin4Good programme, which supports various social causes. As of October 2024, the project has supported 13 university and amateur performances in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United States. Impact4Music is now available worldwide, and any non-profit orchestra can apply (impact4good@hoyoverse.com) to receive selected original sheet music from Genshin Impact, as well as other support depending on the orchestra's needs and creative ideas.
