The E-Sport Association of Schleswig-Holstein has appointed Dr Oliver Daum, a lawyer from Kiel, as its new 2nd chairman. With effect from 1 January 2025, he will take over from Jana Möglich, who held the position until May 2024.

Dr Oliver Daum has not only legal expertise, but also a passion for esports. He supports the E-Sport Verband Schleswig-Holstein (esports association of Schleswig-Holstein) in legal matters and helped to establish the association in 2021. At the same time, he has practical experience in the field of esports, having founded and maintained a blog on legal and political issues, contributed to publications at Meyer & Meyer Verlag and been consulted as an expert by various media. He aims to use his experience to improve the structures of the association and the conditions for esports in Schleswig-Holstein.

"Esports has experienced a tremendous boom in recent years. It is a great honour for me to contribute in this role to strengthening the community and establishing esports as an integral part of our society," said Dr Daum.

"In Dr Oliver Daum, we have gained a highly competent personality who will enrich us with her legal expertise and her understanding of the needs of the esports community. We look forward to working with him and are confident about the future," says Phillip Ebben, Chairman and Managing Director of the E-Sport Verband Schleswig-Holstein. At the same time, the association thanks Jana Möglich for her dedicated work. She held the position (2nd chairman) until May 2024.
