The exact attendance figures for PAX East have not yet been revealed. However, the organisers, ReedPop and PennyArcade, stated that over 100,000 visitors were counted on site, with significantly more taking part digitally in the largest games trade fair on the US East Coast.

“PAX East is always the Grand Opening for a year of shows, and we’re taking that momentum with us,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of PAX, Penny Arcade, and Child’s Play.  “We’re always thinking about the future.”

As PAX East drew to a close, the dates for next year were also announced. The Penny Arcade Expo East will take place once again at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Centre in Boston from 22 to 26 April. It is not known why the dates have been set for around four weeks later than usual.

Alongside PAX East, PAX West will take place in Seattle from 4 to 7 September. Furthermore, a PAX Aus is planned in Melbourne from 9 to 11 October and a PAX Unplugged from 4 to 6 December in Philadelphia. You can find these and other industry events in the GamesMarkt calendar.
