The Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) is heading to Katowice, Poland for another Counter-Strike showdown. Four teams from Germany are also taking part in this major tournament.

The first ESL Pro Tour (EPT) Championship of the year returns to Katowice for the 13th time (29 January to 9 February), with the final three days of the competition taking place in the sold-out Spodek Arena. G2 Esports, BIG, MOUZ and GamerLegion are the four German esports teams taking part. G2 Esports and MOUZ will directly start in Stage 2, which runs from 1-4 February. For the first time, a women's team from Brazil, Imperial fe, will also be competing.

24 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams are competing in this showdown, hoping to win the lion's share of the $1,250,000 total prize pool and a spot in the Hall of Heroes. The winning team will also earn a title in the race for the $1 million Intel Grand Slam V. The Spodek Arena will also host an Expo area including Intel, ESL and DHL.

The live broadcast will be available on Faceit Watch, with a multi-perspective view selector allowing users to watch up to four player perspectives, including the main tournament stream. Additionally, viewers will be able to tune in live on the ESL Counter-Strike Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as through dedicated broadcast partners. All matches will also be available for on-demand viewing via Faceit Watch and YouTube.

IEM Katowice is presented by ESL Faceit Group. The Intel Extreme Masters are the highlight of the ESL Pro Tour (EPT).
