Hessen Crash Celebrates Its Anniversary with Accompanying Conference

Launched in 2010 as a community tournament, Hessen Crash is now an integral part of the fighting game esports scene in Europe. To celebrate its anniversary, it has a new location and an expanded concept, which also includes a specialist conference taking place on 20 June.
Even though it is already the 22nd edition, Hessen Crash is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Started as an event to give niche fighting game players a home in 2010, Hessen Crash has evolved to one of the fighting game events for the German fighting game community.
The next Hessen Crash will take place from 20 to 22 June in Frankfurt and is a very special edition in view of the anniversary. in addition to the new location, the organisers have also expanded the concept. On 20 June, for example, there will be an accompanying conference under the motto esports meets creative industries. Panels, keynotes and workshops are planned on topics such as - esports as a location factor for municipalities & regions - Media change through gaming & streaming - Promoting young talent, diversity & new job profiles - Business models and brand loyalty in the gaming sector
"Esports is not just a game - it is an economic factor that combines creativity, technology and culture," says Jan Openkowski, organiser of 2BeCommUnity.
Of course, there will also be tournaments in the disciplines Tekken 8, Street Fighter VI and Guilty Gear Strive. The organisers are expecting over 1000 guests on site and over 40,000 viewers in the livestream.
