On 16 November, the third final of the Werksliga, the ongoing esports league for companies in the GSA, took place at the Xperion in Cologne. DZ Bank, GroupM and Medion picked up the trophies.

In League of Legends, GroupM Germany beat DZ Bank in a tight final. InnoGames took third place against MYI-Entertainment. Dennis Wegner (Managing Partner Social & Influencer at GroupM): "We are very happy about our triple win in League of Legends and the other top placements in Fall Guys and Rocket League. It's great to see how our team spirit continues to grow through the Werksliga. Especially for GroupM as an agency group with our agencies Mindshare, EssenceMediacom and Wavemaker, the Werksliga is a great success in terms of employer branding."

The first win of the final day went to DZ Bank in Fall Guys. In the battle for third place, GroupM just managed to beat Havi, Prodot, Ubisoft Düsseldorf and Medion. Melanie Steinmetz (HR Manager at DZ Bank): "What a final - a crowning conclusion to Season 3! The final not only offered exciting matches and the chance to see familiar faces, but also gave us the chance to meet new talent in a relaxed atmosphere and show them that we can achieve a lot together as a Werksliga community."

Michael Zillmer (COO & Founder of InnoGames): "The 3rd Werksliga season was another great experience for our team - and not just because of the podium finishes. The Werksliga is simply a great opportunity to get to know new colleagues or to learn new things about old colleagues by taking on fun challenges together. It is also a great way to interact with players from other companies. In short: gaming connects and the Werksliga connects with gaming!"

In Rocket League, Medion took the trophy, beating GroupM Germany in the final. DZ Bank came third. Marc Holtmann (Junior Marketing Manager at Medion): "The Werksliga final: an annual stage for team spirit and networking!"

In addition to the teams that qualified for the final, the other corporate teams were also present at the Xperion. Students from various universities and departments had the opportunity to meet their potential future employers in person. The Werksliga is a joint project of innovation agency Fusion Campus and esports & gaming production company TaKeTV. In the Werksliga, companies from all sectors compete against each other with teams of their own employees and potential new employees live online on Twitch for several weeks to make it to the final. In October 2023, the first Werksliga champions were crowned among companies.
