Auch in Europa toppte "EA Sports FC 24" als Nachfolger von "FIFA 23" die physischen Gamesjahrescharts 2023 von GfK (ohne Digitalverkäufe). Dahinter lieferten sich "Hogwarts Legacy" und "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" ein knappes Rennen. Zudem liegen die Top 3 nach Plattformen für Deutschland vor.

In den plattformübergreifenden, von GfK Entertainment ermittelten Jahrescharts war das Fußballspiel von Electronic Arts nicht nur insgesamt das beliebteste Computer- und Videospiel, sondern toppt auch die Jahreshitlisten in acht der 19 untersuchten Länder, zum Beispiel in Belgien, Italien, Polen und Spanien. Deutlich enger war Wettkampf um den zweiten Platz, den "Hogwarts Legacy" von Warner Bros. für sich entscheidet. Das Fantasy-RPG landete in Großbritannien, den Niederlanden und Tschechien auf der Pole-Position. Das drittplatzierte "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" von Nintendo war in Deutschland, Frankreich, Norwegen, Österreich, Schweden und der Schweiz am erfolgreichsten. Aber auch "Super Mario Bros. Wonder", "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" und "FIFA 23" finden sich in den Charts der einzelnen Länder. In Finnland sichert sich übrigens "NHL 24" die Führungsposition. Basis der europäischen Jahrescharts 2023 sind die physischen Verkaufsdaten aus 19 Ländern.

In den separat ermittelten, nach Plattform unterteilten Jahrescharts für Deutschland schafft "EA Sports FC 24" den Hattrick auf PS4, PS5 und Xbox Series X|S, jeweils vor "Hogwarts Legacy", das zudem noch die Xbox-One-Auswertung anführt. Auf der Switch dominiert "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" und auf PC der "Landwirtschafts-Simulator 22" (Auflistung nach Plattformen in Deutschland siehe ganz unten).
