The Indie Game Fest, organised by Indie Hub, will be returning to Cologne this weekend. On 2 June (Sunday), the Indie Campus will take place with lectures and workshops.

On 31 May and 1 June, the indie game scene will be gathering at the Wasserturm Hotel in Cologne for the fourth Indie Game Fest. The two-day festival will host around 50 regional, national and European studios, which will present their games (tickets, speakers). On 2 June, the Indie Campus will follow with lectures and workshops. The organiser is Indie Hub, and the festival has been supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung North Rhine-Westphalia from the outset.

The festival is a platform for the indie studios, gamers, and creative minds, providing them with the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and improve their products. In addition to networking and an exhibition, the festival also offers portfolio reviews and legal advice. The Indie Game Fest also aims to raise the profile of NRW as a gaming location.

Four games funded by the Filmstiftung will be presented at the Indie Game Fest: M.S. Salmon by Soybloq (Düsseldorf), Once Upon A Rogue Tale by PolyPirates (Düsseldorf), Bauhaus Bonk by Spoonful Games (Cologne) and Hieronymus by Rhenus Vina Musica (Düsseldorf). Additionally, the following games are from North Rhine-Westphalia: Lootquest (Nils Bartels, Goch), Frankendice (CoreCraft, Castrop-Rauxel), Maze Slaughter (Giant Gun Games, Duisburg) and Eldritch Tactics: Lichtmond (SecretItemGames, Dortmund).

The Indie Game Fest has been running since 2019 and is dedicated to promoting the indie games community in Germany.
