Womenize! is back. The platform for women and underrepresented people in the games industry takes place on 5 June in Berlin. The opening keynote will be given by Maxi Graeff (Xbox GSA). Topics include entrepreneurship, salary negotiation, sound design, mindfulness, inclusion and more.

After five years, Womenize!, the event and networking platform for women and underrepresented people in the games industry, is back in Berlin. On Wednesday 5 June, Womenize! will offer a day of talks, workshops and panel discussions with German and international speakers on topics such as starting a business, salary negotiations, passion for the games industry, sound design, mindfulness, diversity, inclusion, jobs in the industry and much more. A small games exhibition is also planned, showcasing four games by female developers. The event will take place at the Institut Français (Kurfürstendamm 211, 10719 Berlin). Tickets are available.

"The continued demand for Womenize! and the positive feedback from the industry has encouraged us to organise this important initiative again this year. Womenize! is much more than an event format: Womenize! is a movement that provides an important platform for women and underrepresented people in our industry, giving them visibility, encouragement and long-term support, as well as connecting them with each other," says Madeleine Egger, Head of Womenize!

Womenize! will be kicked off on the morning of 5 June by Maxi Graeff (Integrated Marketing Lead Xbox GSA, Microsoft), who will speak in her keynote speech entitled "Finding passion in gaming - and sustain it" about the passion for video games as a driver for innovation and collaboration accross the industry. In her workshop "How to sell your next promotion or salary raise", Sophie Vo (Founder, Rise and Play) will share strategies on how to initiate and lead conversations about promotions and salary increases. Criminologist Kristina Straßburger will discuss strategies for dealing with sexual harassment. Other speakers include Melanie Fussenegger (Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur), Mafalda Duarte (Telescope Game Studio), Caroline Schneiders (Riot Games), Sofia Saa (Institut Français), Ina Goering (game) and Katja Bäuerle (Erich Pommer Institut).

Womenize! is supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and organised by Booster Space Events & Consulting.
