From January 2025, nordmedia's games funding will be extended to Bremen. So far, the city-state has not had its own games funding.

On the occasion of the announcement of the next "Fireabend" event, nordmedia announced that Bremen will be part of the games funding from January 2025. More details are expected on 8 November 2024.

With regard to the event, nordmedia writes: "We are therefore delighted to welcome you together with Kai Stührenberg, State Secretary for Ports at the Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation, and to present the new funding. Jan Theysen, CEO of King Art, will then provide information on the topic of games funding and Roman Winkler, consultant for games funding in Lower Saxony/Bremen at nordmedia, will give an insight into the new funding guidelines."

In Lower Saxony, nordmedia Games has been providing regular funding since 2011. In the states of Bremen and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the other hand, there is no games funding. From 2025, at least in Bremen, this will change.
