Game Industry Conference to be Held Twice in 2026 And is Seeking Speakers
The organisers of the GIC - Game Industry Conference have launched their call for speakers. At the same time, the website shows that GIC 2026 will take place twice, at the usual time in October in Poznań and at the end of June in Katowice.
The presentations that interested parties can submit as speakers at the Game Industry Conference (GIC) do not have to be finalised at this stage. According to the organisers, it is not yet necessary to submit slides or similar materials. Submissions can be made via the GIC website.
Coinciding with the launch of the call for speakers, the GIC organisers have another surprise in store. This year, the event will take place twice. In addition to the edition in Poznan, which is planned as usual in October parallel to the Poznan Game Arena, more precisely from 21 to 24 October, another GIC is planned in Katowice. This is scheduled for 25 to 27 June. Further details are not yet available.
This means that there are two deadlines for speaker submissions. The deadline for topics for GCI Katowice is 20 May. From 22 April onwards, the first slides of the presentation must already be ready for submission. The deadline for GIC Poznan is 12 August. Here, too, simplified applications without slides are only possible up to around one month in advance, more precisely until 8 July.
According to the website, both events will feature presentations, summits, a B2B exhibition and a Geer Careers Expo. In 2025, GIC in Poznań celebrated a new record with almost 3,500 trade visitors.
