Gamescom hasn’t actually started yet, dear readers,

even though it’s the dominant topic in the news today – and therefore also in this update. After all, the traditional July press conference for the trade fair took place today, at which the main theme, trends and an update on the exhibitors were presented. And that’s exactly what it delivered. Because for the first time ever, gamescom is sold out! All available net exhibition space has been snapped up. For 2027, Koelnmesse and game are working on concepts to meet the high demand by increasing supply without compromising the visitor experience. That will be exciting. I’m also keen to see the results of gamescom 2026. In any case, the signs point to success.

Here are the news of the day!
