Five new titles storm the German retail sales charts in September: "EA Sports FC", "Starfield" and "The Crew Motorfest" take the podium, while "Payday 3" and "Mortal Kombat 1" make it into the top ten.

Unsurprisingly, the pre-Christmas business is already humming in games sales. With the strong new releases of the last four weeks, five new titles have made it into the game charts: three of them directly into the first three places. The front-runner is "EA Sports FC 24", which knocks its predecessor "FIFA 23" off the previous month's throne, as if to deal another blow to FIFA, which had terminated the licensing deal with EA. "Starfield" from Bethesda and Microsoft takes over second place, while Ubisoft's "The Crew Motorfest" jumps to third.

Two other newcomers this month also made it into the top ten ranks. "Payday 3", distributed by Plaion, takes fifth place, while Warner's "Mortal Kombat 1" makes it to eighth.

The charts of the game - Association of the German Games Industry are cross-platform and include the games for PCs and consoles most frequently sold on data carriers and as downloads in Germany in the respective month. The data basis is provided by Games Sales Data (GSD), a platform of Video Games Europe (VGE), formerly Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE). Numerous retailers, publishers and digital distribution platforms such as the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live from Germany report sales figures to GSD. However, digital sales of Nintendo titles from the eShop are not included.
