The Game Industry Conference is set to be bigger than ever this year, with ticket sales already at a record high. The first speakers have also been confirmed. In addition, the Women in Games Breakfast will be expanded into a Women in Games Day.

The Game Industry Conference (GIC), a leading European games conference in Poznan  (Poland), will return this year from 24 to 27 October, alongside the Poznan Game Arena (PGA). It is expected to be bigger than ever, with an estimated 4,000 expected to attend. With five months to go before the event, a record number of over 400 participants have bought their tickets in the Early Bird sale. This is the best result in the conference's history since its beginnings in 2008.

The organisers have announced the first speakers who will share their knowledge in talks and workshops. As in previous years, the GIC programme will be divided into basic, intermediate and advanced sessions, with topics ranging from art and audio, to business, PR and marketing, to VR, AR & new technologies. GIC'24 speakers include David Santiago (Principal Technical Artist at Insomniac Games), André Berg Bragason (Lead VFX Artist at CCP Games), Martha Weiss (Senior Character Concept Artist at IO Interactive) and Sami Mylly (Senior Game Programmer at Fingersoft). Industry professionals can now submit their session proposals here.

GIC's annual Women in Games Breakfast broke all records in 2023. With over 150 attendees and four separate roundtables, surveys, networking and giveaways, it exceeded their expectations. To support this growth, this year's event will include a Women in Games Day for the first time. The traditional breakfast will be followed by a full day of networking, workshops, panels, talks and mentoring sessions - for women by women.
