A new team made from game dev veterans in Hamburg has risen into the spotlight. Although Positive Impact Games has already been in operation since 2024 and has been part of the Gamecity Hamburg funding round 2024 with 80,000 euros for their prototype and just this October in a showbooth at Polaris, the studio has just now announced the first detailed information about their game. Said first title is The Regreening, a cozy “soilpunk simulation” game where cleaning up and restoring the world is the goal. The Steam page for The Regreening is already online.

The Regreening comes from Positive Impact Games in Hamburg.

Positive Impact Games is a women-led studio around Managing Director Volha Kapitonava, Publishing Producer at Wooga and formerly at the now-defuct Threaks. The team consists of Xsolla Senior Director of Developer Success Manny Hachey, Merve Meszaros (formerly at Threaks as well), Art Director Max Besseling of InnoGames and Henrik Schröder of Gamigo.
