'Haus of Warcraft' in Berlin Attracts 170,000 Visitors
Within a week, 170,000 people visited The Playce and experienced the 'Haus of Warcraft'. With this installation, Blizzard Entertainment celebrated the local community and the housing feature of World of Warcraft, ahead of the launch of the upcoming Midnight expansion.
From 31 January to 7 February 2026, the 'Haus of Warcraft' was open to the public at The Playce in Berlin. It attracted 170,000 visitors over the course of seven days. The installation featured a blood elf house decorated with 26 handmade items designed by the German World of Warcraft (WoW) community. With the 'Haus of Warcraft', Blizzard Entertainment celebrated the new housing feature ahead of the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion.
Over the course of the week, the 'Haus of Warcraft' became a meeting place for the community. Visitors took part in daily raids and had the opportunity to meet creators and cosplayers. On 6 and 7 February, for example, there were meet-and-greets with Kamui, Metashi, Rumathra and HoneyPuu, as well as with Paul Kubit (Associate Game Director) and Joanna Gianulis (Senior UX Designer). A tabletop role-playing experience is also planned and will be unveiled soon.
The event marks the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Midnight, whose Standard Edition will be available on 3 March 2026 at 00:00 CET. The second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga will take players back to Quel'Thalas, where the threat posed by Xal'atath is growing. With the defence of the Sunwell and the city of Silvermoon at the centre of the narrative, the blood elves play a pivotal role. Those who pre-ordered the expansion can access the housing feature since December 2025.
