For the third time, mobile service provider congstar and the Gaming ohne Grenzen initiative are honouring projects, personalities and technologies that make gaming more accessible. Nominations for the award have now been announced.

The 14-strong expert jury deliberated and selected the following shortlist for this year's Gaming ohne Grenzen (Gaming Without Borders) Award. The winners in each category will be announced and honoured at gamescom. Hosted by Stefanie Langer, the award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 at 15:00 in Hall 10.1 at the NRW Youth Forum stand.

"This year's nominations once again demonstrate the diversity and commitment of the inclusive gaming community, and the importance of breaking down barriers and strengthening participation," says Timo Wakulat, Senior Manager of PR and Press at congstar.

Only games released between 1 January 2024 and 31 June 2025 were eligible for the "National" and "International" categories. The "Personality" category focused on individuals from German-speaking countries who have demonstrated a particular commitment to accessibility and inclusion in gaming.
