Infogrames Entertainment hat die Eden Studios übernommen. Mit dem Entwickler von "V-Rally" vereint Infogrames jetzt zwölf Developmentteams unter seinem Dach.

Infogrames Entertainment hat das Entwicklerteam Eden Studios zu 100 Prozent übernommen. Bislang hielt der französische Konzern eine Minderheitsbeteiligung von 19,8 Prozent. Die Eden Studios unter der Leitung von Stéphane Baudet, Frédéric Jay and David Nadal zeichnen unter anderem für das Infogrames-Erfolgsfranchise "V-Rally" verantwortlich. Derzeit arbeite Eden an "V-Rally 3" für GBA und PS2. "Eden gehört zu den weltweit größten Entwicklungsstudios. Wir sind sehr stolz darauf, dass sich die Gründer dafür entschieden haben, weiteres Wachstum innerhalb unserer Gruppe zu realisieren", sagte Bruno Bonnell, Chef von Infogrames. Die Eden Studios reihen sich damit in die mittlerweile zwölf Teams zählende Entwicklerriege von Infogrames ein. Zu den weiteren Infogrames-eigenen Softwareschmieden zählen u. a. Reflections ("Driver"), Microprose ("Grand Prix 4"), Paradigm ("Spy Hunter"), Humongous ("Backyard"-Serien) und Melbourne House ("Le Mans").
