The JvM Group is expanding its gaming services and setting up an international agency team. Thanh Dao (JvM Nerd) and Carl Kuhn (JvM Sports) will lead this team. However, JvM Nerd founder Toan Nguyen and co-managing director André Price will be leaving the agency at the end of the year to pursue new opportunities.

JvM is offering gaming and esports services from its offices in Hamburg and Ho Chi Minh City. Going forward, the cross-agency team will be led by Thanh Dao and Carl Kuhn. However, JvM Nerd founder Toan Nguyen and co-managing director André Price will be leaving the agency at the end of the year to pursue new opportunities.

"Brands that establish an early presence in the virtual world can cultivate long-term loyalty among a diverse and engaged community," says Thanh Dao, Managing Director at JvM Nerd. "With Jung von Matt Nerd, we have done some real pioneering work in this area in recent years. (...) With our new international agency team from JvM Nerd and JvM Sports, we confidently guide our clients on how to seamlessly integrate gaming and esports into their brand communication without any 'cringe factor'. Together, we create a lasting cultural impact on brands."

"Even brands that you wouldn't immediately associate with gaming should invest in this culture and actively shape it," says Carl Kuhn. As part of the management team at Jung von Matt Sports, he is responsible for e-sports and gaming, heading up the team alongside Thanh Dao. "A current example of this is Sparkasse: To engage with a young target audience, we collaborated to develop a horror game in Fortnite, accompanied by a campaign. This has been very successful so far, receiving significant coverage in major German media outlets, as well as some international ones. Gaming is a great way to refresh brands for younger target groups – you just have to find the right fit and staging."

In addition to cosnova and Sparkasse, Jung von Matt's gaming and esports clients include BMW, Amazon Games, FIFA, Edeka, Eintracht Spandau, Pringles and Porsche.
