Konami und Genki sind eine strategische Partnerschaft eingegangen. Im Rahmen der Vereinbarungen, die u. a. produktionstechnische Themen umfassen, hat Konami seinen Unternehmensanteil an Genki erhöht.

Konami und der japanische Entwickler und Publisher Genki haben eine enge Partnerschaft vereinbart. Die so genannte "Business Alliance" umfasst vor allem die Bereiche Content und Produktion. Genki verfüge laut Konami über große Produktionskapazitäten und sei daher von "unermeßlichem" Wert für die Konami Group. Konami bietet Genki im Gegenzug die Möglichkeit, von den marketing- und vertriebstechnischen Erfahrungen Konamis zu profitieren. Geplant sei zudem, Genki-Projekte für Bereiche außerhalb der Unterhaltungssoftwareschiene umzusetzen. Im Rahmen der Vereinbarung hat Konami seinen Unternehmensanteil an Genki auf 37,24 Prozent erhöht. Für Konami ist der Deal mit Genki bereits die dritte Business Alliance mit einem japanischen Softwarehaus. Vereinbarungen bestehen bereits mit Takara und Hudson Soft.
