The discovery platform LootBoy has been around since 2018. However, the Münster-based startup has been quiet for the past two years, but is now making a comeback as part of the Youre Group.

LootBoy, an app that acts as a discovery platform for gamers, combining games, digital entertainment and 'surprise' elements, is now part of the Youre Group. "With LootBoy as part of the Youre Family, we are sending a clear signal of innovation and community in the gaming sector. Our goal is to make the app not only more exciting for gamers of all ages with the new features, but also more sustainable," says founder Alex Suárez. Further details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Youre Family is a German blockchain gaming company known for GamesCoin.

LootBoy is all about LootPacks. These are surprise packages filled with content such as game codes, in-app currencies, vouchers and other digital extras. The packs can be bought or, with a little patience, unlocked for free. A new feature is that users can earn in-game currency, also known as 'Bills', by completing various tasks, which can then be used to exchange products on the trade market.

"With the new features, we are focusing on a reward system that combines excitement and strategic collecting. Our community will not only get the chance to get exclusive content, but also a targeted reward that perfectly matches their interests. We want to further individualise the LootBoy experience and take it to the next level," explains LootBoy founder André Kuschel. The company has brought two Youtubers on board for the comeback: Tim Soltau, known on YouTube as Wakez, and Dannay Liepolt aka Proownez.
