The Digital Vikings Awards winners Sun and Serpent Creations from Braunschweig have signed Mythwright from the UK as publisher for their upcoming, nordmedia funded bladesmithing simulator Bladesong. Studio founder David Kuri uses the support to increase the team size working on the game.

Studio Sun and Serpent Creations from Braunschweig, Lower Saxony has found a publisher for their game Bladesong: Mythwright from the UK will handle social media, community events and marketing for the title.

“Mythwright has only recently been founded by a team of veterans with decades of combined industry experience, having worked with games such as Alan Wake II, PC Building Simulator, and Going Medieval. We are proud that Bladesong is one of the first few games to be signed under this new label”, says Sun and Serpent co-founder David Kuri in their Steam announcement post. “What does all this mean for the game? First of all, it means that we are now able to build up the team a little more. Narrative designer Harry Tuffs is getting to work effective immediately, and my brother Jonas Kuri, who has been my trusted advisor from the day the idea first came up, will work on the game’s design full-time from September.”

The game has been partly funded by Nordmedia and was the star of DevGamm Gdansk 2024, where David Kuri represented it while winning both the jury vote at the Developer Pitch (Article in German) and the Most Innovative Upcoming Game Award at the Digital Vikings Awards (Article in German).
