GamesMarkt: What is your verdict as you look back on 2025?
Lybee Park: "2025 marked a pivotal year for Pearl Abyss. We strengthened our European presence through our Amsterdam hub and deepened community care and live-ops worldwide. Meeting players at Gamescom and showcasing Crimson Desert reminded us that hands-on connection still matters. Black Desert continued to thrive through its loyal community, setting the stage for a landmark 2026 with its 10th anniversary and the global debut of our flagship open-world title."
GamesMarkt: What are your predictions for the gaming industry in 2026?
Lybee Park: "Studios creating from identity, not just strategy, will stand out. Players seek worlds that feel alive and let them write their own stories. Great games extend beyond launch, shaped by players who co-create experiences. Our role is to design not just content, but context for emotion, immersion, and memory."
GamesMarkt: How is Pearl Abyss positioned for 2026?
Lybee Park: "2026 marks the full expression of our creative identity, with Black Desert NAEU celebrating 10 years and Crimson Desert entering the global stage. With a player-first mindset and trust in our creators, we aim to create something that truly matters."
