THQ Nordic's Way of the Hunter Exceeds One Million Copies Sold
The hunting simulation game Way of the Hunter, developed by Nine Rocks Games and published by THQ Nordic, has sold over one million copies since its launch. Just recently, the Austrian publisher announced that Gothic 1 Remake had been added to over a million wish lists.
Since its launch in August 2022, Way of the Hunter has sold over one million copies. This is a milestone for Nine Rocks Games, a game development studio headquartered in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and Vienna-based publisher THQ Nordic. To coincide with this, the 'Night Hunting Pack DLC' is released today, introducing one of the most requested features since launch: night-time hunting.
THQ Nordic: "From day one, your input has shaped the game. Together, we've expanded the experience with new maps, gear, mechanics, and features - always grounded in realism and community feedback. Whether you're tracking through Aurora Shores or navigating the wilds of Lintukoto, every step forward has been guided by you."
Speaking of the one million mark, on 21 May 2025, the Gothic 1 Remake reached one million wishlist entries on Steam alone. The remake of the Piranha Bytes RPG classic, developed by Alkimia Interactive, is currently ranked 22nd on the Most Wishlisted Upcoming Steam Games list. Titan Quest II (Grimlore Games), which is scheduled for an Early Access release in summer 2025, is just a few places behind in 30th position.
