Manor Lords has sold more than 2.5 million copies, while Menace, developed by Hamburg-based Overhype, is now on more than 250,000 wishlists. Hooded Horse's current publisher sale on Steam shows how updates, news and announcements can be combined to draw more attention to the entire portfolio.

Hooded Horse is a prime example of how the digital platform Steam can be used as a showcase for its current publisher sale. The publisher combines updates for all sorts of games across its portfolio with several announcements, two releases and a showcase video.

The company has released Breachway and Keepers of the Stone, the first DLC for Against the Storm, to coincide with the sale. Manor Lords, which has sold over 2.5 million copies, with a new content update that adds new features and quality of life changes, while also upgrading the game engine to Unreal Engine 5. Many other Hooded Horse titles are also getting updates - whether it's the 15th major update for Clanfolk or new patches for Old World, Cataclismo and Norland. Mars Tactics and Sons of Valhalla from Pixel Chest in Germany have also shared some fun details about what's coming. All this had to be coordinated in the background, of course.

In terms of recent announcements, Junxions from CyberStorm in Bratislava (Slovakia), a sandbox simulation game about traffic management, joined the Hooded Horse family. "I believe partnering with Hooded Horse will unlock the full potential of Junxions and make it the ultimate traffic simulation game," says Lead Developer Thomas Wagner. "Together, we'll deliver Junxions to more players than ever and, more importantly, continue working on our dream of developing the perfect city simulation game." "CyberStorm showed us how Junxions can load up data of real-world cities and then build on top of them as we like," says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. "The simulation's complexity is astounding, and the game truly aims to create the ultimate traffic management experience. We wanted to help bring this dream to life."

Menace, the upcoming sci-fi successor to Battle Brothers, has passed a milestone on its way to release. The game from Hamburg-based Overhype Studio has passed the 250,000 wishlist mark, just over a year after it was first revealed. It is now one of the top 100 most wishlisted games on Steam. Overhype returned to gamescom last month to show off the latest developments to the game behind closed doors, including off-map abilities such as orbital strikes, the cover system and the tactical combat. Menace is coming to PC in Early Access via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

"2024 has been a great year for our developers and players," says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. "I'm grateful to work with such talented people and thrilled that players keep supporting us and the games. I hope people can find something they like during the sale."

Last but not least Hooded Horse produced a quite unique 18-minute showcase feat. MandaloreGaming. It features a recap on recent events, as well as a snapshot of what's to come.
