On 27 May, the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) will launch On Screen, a cross-media programme special for re:publica. The contributions will be curated by MBB-funded events, including A Maze and Games Ground.

From 26 to 28 May, the digital industry will gather in Berlin for re:publica, the festival for the digital society. Now, the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) has announced its own special programme called On Screen as part of the festival. The special is designed to be cross-sector and, according to its organisers, aims to foster new collaborations and ideas at the intersection of different industries, technologies and disciplines. The programme for this focus, which was initiated by the MBB and is being implemented in close cooperation with re:publica, is curated by various events that are also supported by the MBB. From the games industry, these include the A Maze. Festival and Games Ground.

"At the MBB-sponsored Special On Screen and in the media track at re:publica, new ideas will be presented, current trends discussed and future concepts developed together. With programme items from Seriesly Berlin, MediaTech Hub Conference, Games Ground, A Maze. and dokumentale, Berlin-Brandenburg is bringing its creative and innovative power to the stage – and making it come alive for the first time in an interactive exhibition space – innovative, inspiring, interdisciplinary!", says Helge Jürgens, Managing Director of MBB.
