Released in early September 2025, NBA 2K26, developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K (Take-Two Interactive), has now sold over 100,000 copies in Germany. To celebrate reaching this sales milestone, the game has been awarded a games Sales Award in Gold. It's available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Last April, the association presented two awards: a Platinum award to Split Fiction and a Gold award to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

The game Sales Award is presented by game, the German Games Industry Association, to recognise the best-selling computer and video games in Germany. It is based on the latest sales figures from Video Games Europe's industry panel, GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that sell more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany within the first 12 months of release are eligible for a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
