In their new joint book "Computerspiele. 50 zentrale Titel" (Computer games. 50 key titles), authors and professors Daniel Martin Feige and Rudolf Inderst use 50 selected games to present the diversity and appeal of this medium from a scientific perspective.

The new book "Computerspiele. 50 zentrale Titel" is part of the Game Studies series, which has been published by transcript Verlag since 2022. It is also the 6th book in the series, which has recently only grown by one book per year.

The authors Daniel Martin Feige and Rudolf Inderst are recognized experts in games research. Daniel Martin Feige is Professor of Philosophy and Aesthetics at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. Rudolf Inderst is Professor of Game Design and Game Studies at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences. He is host of the international podcast Game Studies, head of department at TITEL kulturmagazin für Spielkultur and member of the advisory board for game culture at the German Association of Specialised Journalists.

In this 420-page reference book, the authors use 50 selected titles to illustrate the appeal of games as a medium, offering students and researchers, educators, journalists and players a well-founded overview of 40 years of digital games and their significance for scientific, social and cultural issues.
