Koei Tecmo Appoints Hisashi Koinuma as President and CEO
Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo is preparing for a leadership transition and has announced a series of personnel and structural changes set to take effect in April and June. Hisashi Koinuma will take over key responsibilities from Keiko and Yoichi Erikawa, marking a significant shift at the top of the company.
The changes are scheduled to take effect at the start of the new fiscal year on 1 April 2025. In this context, the position of President will become the highest position responsible for day-to-day business, while the position of Chairman will serve as the highest position for management supervision.
Additionally, further changes at the top management level of Koei Tecmo Holdings will take effect in June 2025, following the Annual General Meeting:
Changes are also planned for the Koei Tecmo Games operating unit as of 1 April. In addition to Keiko and Yoichi Erikawa, Kenjiro Asano and Yasuharu Kakihara will also retire. Hisashi Koinuma, currently President, COO, and General Manager of the Entertainment Division, will take on the role of President, CEO, and COO. He will be supported by Yukinori Ito, who will become Senior Executive Officer and General Manager of the Entertainment Division, and Keisuke Sawada, who will serve as Executive Officer and Head of Kou Shibusawa.
