With the two new additions, the number of German games companies that have signed the manifesto against sexism in the German games industry created by Game:in has risen to nine.

The fight against sexism in the games industry is a marathon, not a sprint, but progress is being made. Blossom Path Games and Schleuder Games are two more studios that have signed the Manifesto of Game:in. This brings the number of companies that have signed the manifesto to nine.

That may not sound like a lot, but it is. Game:in only allows companies to sign the manifesto if they already fulfil five points. This ensures that the commitment to fighting sexism and promoting equality is truly lived and sustainable. The five points are zero tolerance of sexism in any content the company is responsible for, including comments on social media channels, and the use of gender-neutral language. Salaries are regularly reviewed and adjusted to close any gender pay gap. The company also supports all forms of care, education and family care (fair care). Last but not least, sanitary products are provided free of charge in the office.

The manifesto is a core element of Game:in's fight against sexism and for equality in the German games industry. Game:in was founded in 2022 as an initiative of seven committed employees of the German games industry. In the run-up to gamescom 2023, the initiative became a registered association and received the gamescom Heart of Gaming Award. Since then, many of the founding ideas have been implemented. For example, a safe space policy for events has been developed that can be used by organisers as a template. In addition, a speaker database has been set up to make it easier to find thematically appropriate FLINTA speakers, so that events on stage are also more diverse. FLINTA (Frauen, Lesben, Intergeschlechtliche, nichtbinäre, trans und agender Personen) stands for women, lesbians, intersexuals, non-binary, trans and agender people.
