Nominees for the Pégases Awards (France)

The Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques has announced the list of games competing in the 18 categories at the 2026 Pégases Awards Ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, 5 March 2026, at 20.00 at La Cigale in Paris.

Nominees for the main prize include Absolum, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and The Rogue Prince of Persia. Absolum from Dotemu, Guard Crush Games and Supamonks is the most nominated game, with nominations in five categories. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Kepler Interactive/Sandfall Interactive), The Rogue Prince of Persia (Ubisoft/Evil Empire) and Wednesdays (The Pixel Hunt/Pierre Corbinais & Arte France) have each been nominated for four awards. This year, for the first time, two categories - 'Best Independent Video Game' and 'Narrative Excellence' - have four nominated games, following a perfect tie at the end of the voting process.

As in previous years, more than 3,000 professionals and members of the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques nominated the games in the first round of voting. The second round of voting is now open to determine the winners in each category.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch and will feature exclusive announcements and never-before-seen footage to pay tribute to video game creators in France and around the world. Thomas Jolly, president of the CNC's video game aid fund commission and artistic director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be among the award presenters. His presence will highlight the links between video game creation, live performance and storytelling.

The 2026 Pégases Awards Ceremony is organised by the SNJV (Syndicat National du Jeu Vidéo) and the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Jeu Vidéo, and is produced with the support of the CNC (Centre National du Cinéma et de l'Image Animée), Unreal Engine, Neuflize OBC, and KPMG Avocats.
