Kissaki Studios from NRW has released a big one: Mindbug Online, the free to play PC and mobile version of Richard Garfields dueling card game. The board game license lies with Nerdlab Games from Bavaria.

Kissaki Studios from Salzkotten in North Rhine-Westphalia has released the game they have worked on for the last three years. And it is by no means a small one: The team has adapted Mindbug, the dueling board game by Magic: The Gathering inventor Richard Garfield, as a free to play game for Steam as well as Android and iOS. Kissaki Studios is publishing the application themselves, while the board game version comes from Nerdlab Games (Tagnition GmbH) from Alzenau in Bavaria.

"From the first round, it feels like you're right in the endgame. Every decision counts. The matches are fast, intense and consistently exciting," says Raphael Parr, Game Designer at Kissaki Studios. "We are convinced that this unique gaming experience will inspire the map community."

The gameplay of Mindbug resembles Magic: The Gathering in some ways, with all cards having significant advantages. The thrill of the duel comes from the nominal Mindbugs, depletable ressources that allow players to steal cards from their opponents.
