Fata Deum, the god simulation game developed by 42 Bits Entertainment and published by Aerosoft, will launch on Early Access on 15 September 2025.

From 15 September 2025 onwards, players in Fata Deum will be able to choose whether to rule with a gentle hand or to force their people to worship them through fear. These choices will shape the world, affecting everything from the birth rate to city expansion. Fata Deum draws inspiration from iconic titles such as Black & White and Populous. The game is divided into two main cycles: day and night. As the sun rises, players perform miracles, shape civilisation, and battle rival gods for influence. In the darkness of night, they can devise their strategy and plan their next move in secret.

Christoph Schulze, CEO and founder of 42 Bits Entertainment, said: "We are proud to finally announce the release date for Fata Deum! Our journey began with a humble Kickstarter project, where 1,451 amazing backers believed in our vision and gave us the push we needed to create something truly special. Since then, our community has grown to encompass over 200,000 wishlist users on Steam. Fata Deum is more than just a game to us. It's our tribute to the god games we grew up with, and our opportunity to breathe new life into a beloved genre. We can't wait to welcome players to the world we've created, and we hope they'll enjoy crafting - or destroying - wonderful worlds!"

Developed by 42 Bits Entertainment in Jüchen, the game began life as a one-man project in 2018. It received support from the German local government (Film- und Medienstiftung NRW) to create an initial prototype. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2020, the game's popularity has grown ever since. After that, publisher Hooded Horse joined the project, until Aerosoft came on board as publisher in mid-2025. It is now published by Aerosoft under its Aerosoft Move label.
