Nach dem Erfolg in Japan erscheinen die beiden Onlineadapter für Nintendos GameCube nun auch in den USA und Kanada.

Schritt für Schritt setzt Publisher Nintendo seine Onlinepläne um. Noch in dieser Woche will das Unternehmen in Nordamerika einen Breitband- und einen Modemadapter für seine Spielekonsole GameCube veröffentlichen. Der Preis liegt voraussichtlich bei 35 Dollar. Nintendo erwartet sich von den beiden Zubehörteilen für das Onlinegaming mit dem GameCube einen ähnlichen Erfolg wie in Japan, wo sie vor wenigen Wochen auf den Markt gekommen sind. Aufgrund großer Nachfrage seien die Adapter dort in manchen Geschäften ausverkauft gewesen. Der Konsolen- und Gamesanbieter hatte das Zubehör im Vorfeld der E3 2002 angekündigt. Wann es in Europas Gamesgeschäften zu haben sein wird, gab Nintendo bislang nicht bekannt.
