gamescom LAN has announced the appointment of Franz Peter Mann as its new Head of gamescom LAN, effective from 1 September 2025. Mann will work closely with TaKeTV and MYI in his new role, leading both the operational execution and strategic development of the event.

Franz Peter Mann most recently served as Team Lead for Gaming & Entertainment at Burson, where he managed high-profile clients including Activision Blizzard. Prior to that, he spent over four years heading up press and influencer relations for gamescom, contributing to major gaming campaigns at FleishmanHillard and working with brands such as EA Sports, as well as collaborating with SAP and Riot Games.

Franz Peter Mann, Head of gamescom LAN: "I'm thrilled to return to the gamescom universe and help shape the next chapter of gamescom LAN. LAN parties have always held a special place in my heart: whether attending as a fan or as part of my work, I've always been inspired by the energy, sense of community, and pure fun they bring. I'm committed to ensuring that every visitor to gamescom LAN enjoys an unforgettable experience."

In recent years, the number of participants at gamescom LAN has doubled, and the event has expanded to include new areas dedicated to trading card games and fighting games. Building on this momentum, TaKeTV and MYI intend to strengthen the event's position further. Further details about gamescom LAN 2026 will be revealed during gamescom.

Dennis Gehlen, CEO of TaKeTV: "With Franz, we're bringing on board not just an experienced strategist, but someone who truly lives and breathes modern LAN culture: from TCGs and competitive gaming to Beyblade."

Cédric Schlosser, CEO of MYI: "His passion for nerd culture, his experience within the gamescom ecosystem, and his deep understanding of the community make him the perfect fit for this role. Together, we're ready to take gamescom LAN to the next level."
