Munich's Technical University has a new "games professor": Johanna Pirker, head of the GameLabGraz and former professor at Munich's LMU, has been appointed full Professor for N-Dimensional User Experience at TUM. She wants to bring industry, teaching and research together.

Johanna Pirker, professor of Computer Science in Graz and director of the GameLabGraz is moving back to Munich: From the first of July, Pirker has been appointed full Professor for N-Dimensional User Experience at Technical University Munich. She will continue to play a part in Austria’s game dev and university scene as she is still professor at Graz University of Technology in a part time position.

Pirker had been active in Munich before, as professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität. In her new position, she “is strongly committed to teaching and research in various areas of game development and also to building bridges between industry, teaching and research”, she says in a statement towards GamesMarkt.
