New Head of Press Office at E-Sport-Verband Schleswig-Holstein

The E-Sport-Verband Schleswig-Holstein (Esports Association of Schleswig-Holstein, EVSH) is repositioning itself in terms of communication. Annika Frutig is the new head of the press and public relations office. At the same time she takes over the communication lead of the State Centre for E-Sports and Digitalisation.
One of Annika Frutig's goals is to further develop the external perception of the E-Sport-Verband Schleswig-Holstein and to bring the esports community in Schleswig-Holstein more into the public eye. "I am really looking forward to this new task! Esports has an incredible potential in all areas of our society and I can't wait to make the great work of the EVSH even better known," says Frutig.
"Esports is more than just digital gaming - it is a driver of innovation, strengthens media literacy, promotes equal opportunities and offers people of all ages access to the digital society. As a connecting element between education, business and politics, it contributes to the sustainable development of the digital infrastructure," continues Annika Frutig. Her professional career has focused on strategic marketing and human resources.
She takes over these positions from Dr. Timo Schöber, who has held these positions at the E-Sport-Verband Schleswig-Holstein and the Landeszentrum für E-Sport und Digitalisierung on an interim basis since June 2024. At that time, the goal was to strategically realign these areas and optimize the operational work. Upon completion of this task, Schöber decided to hand over the management of these areas. He will continue to support the association in an advisory capacity.
