There has been a change in leadership in the European operations of monitor manufacturers MMD and AOC: On 1 September, Stefan Sommer took over from Thomas Schade, who was previously Vice President Europe. The handover will continue until the end of the year.

The Amsterdam-based European headquarters of the monitor brands MMD and AOC have a new leadership. This has now been announced by TPV Technology, the parent company of the two independently operating  corporate entities. Stefan Sommer took over the position of Vice President Europe from Thomas Schade on 1 September.

Schade has been responsible for European business since 2009 and has played a major role in building and expanding the brands in Europe. To ensure an optimal handover, Schade will remain with the company until the end of the year.

Stefan Sommer joined AOC in 2006 and also joined MMD in 2011. Most recently, he was Director of Marketing & Business Management EU at TPV.

"It has been an honour to contribute to the growth of AOC and MMD over the last decade and a half. I am confident that the team will continue to achieve great results under Stefan's leadership," said Thomas Schade about the change.

And Stefan Sommer adds: "On behalf of the entire company, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Thomas for his outstanding leadership and the tremendous success he has brought us in Europe. His commitment has been invaluable to us. In my new role as VP Europe, I look forward to continuing our growth trajectory in this challenging market together with our long-standing partners."
