Sunday has appointed Christian Balazs as its new Director of Games. This is a milestone in the company's strategic shift towards becoming a hybrid-casual games company.

Sunday announced the appointment of Christian Balazs as the new Director of Games. He will join the team in Hamburg. Balazs, formerly of SYBO, Outfit7 and Goodgame Studios, will lead Sunday through its transformation into a hybrid-casual games company.

"With his extensive expertise in mass audience games and F2P systems, Christian will play a pivotal role in advancing Sunday's success by building high-performance teams and developing a hybrid-casual product portfolio," Sunday states. "The addition of Christian to our team will further enhance our ability to innovate and elevate our mobile game development to the next level, ensuring even more engaging gameplay and profitable monetization strategies."

"I am excited to embrace the challenge here at Sunday," said Christian Balazs, newly appointed Director of Games. "I look forward to collaborating with our talented team to not only further establish Hamburg as a premier gaming hub, but also to lead our successful transition from hyper-casual to hybrid-casual games, setting new industry standards along the way. Plus, as a lifelong gamer, I'm particularly excited to blend my passion for quality with Sundays' knowledge of game design to create experiences that resonate with players worldwide."

Sunday: "The mobile games market has undergone significant changes, with hyper-casual gaming evolving from a blue ocean of opportunities into a highly competitive red ocean market. As the industry shifts, Sunday recognizes the growing potential in hybrid-casual games, which require a more professional and planned approach to development."

Sunday is a hyper-casual and hybrid-casual company specialising in the development, publishing and marketing of easy-to-play games. As a key part of the Applike Group, backed by Bertelsmann, Sunday already produces globally popular games.
