Headup has announced the appointment of Marcel Aldrup as a partner. In addition, Headup has entered into strategic partnerships with rokaplay and Toukana.

Marcel Aldrup is now a partner at Headup. Aldrup, who has contributed significantly to Headup's success since the company was founded in 2009, is acquiring 10% of the shares. Marcel Aldrup: "We have just successfully led Headup back to independence, so it was only logical for me to take on the entrepreneurial responsibility. Headup has never been just a job for me - the team, the projects, the whole journey we have been on together since 2009 means the world to me. Now, as a partner/shareholder, I feel I can play an even bigger role in shaping the future and it just feels right."

Dieter Schoeller: "Since the company's inception, Marcel Aldrup's dedication and passion have been instrumental in shaping Headup's DNA. Following our buy-back and in the face of continued market volatility, it was important for us to strengthen the company and structurally reward the commitment of key individuals. Marcel's entry as a shareholder does just that - and strengthens leadership and operational proximity in challenging times. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome rokaplay and Toukana as partners with whom we can further develop our vision and realise projects with great potential."

In addition, Headup announces that it has entered into strategic partnerships with rokaplay and Toukana Interactive. The partnership with rokaplay is to further develop and expand the successful game A Game About Digging A Hole across multiple platforms. Headup will be responsible for further business assessment and platform expansion. More details on the project and the partnership with Toukana will be announced later. Toukana is currently working with kurzgesagt on the game Star Birds.

We recently conducted an interview with Dieter Schoeller. For almost a year now, Headup has been independent again after its separation from Thunderful. GamesMarkt spoke with CEO Dieter Schoeller about the company's current position (GM+), the pain of separation, their own developments and the challenges of indie publishing. The second part of the interview with Headup CEO Dieter Schoeller (GM+) focuses on the positioning of the Düren-based company for the future, the in-house prototype program, and the current tense situation in the market.
