Best Selling Physical Games in Europe 2024

EA Sports FC 25 was by far the most successful physically distributed video game in Europe across all platforms. The game from Electronic Arts topped the annual charts in all 17 countries surveyed. Its predecessor was also very popular.

EA Sports FC 25 is the clear leader of the annual European physical games charts for 2024, as tracked by GfK Entertainment. The data is based on physical sales data from Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

The race for second place was a little tighter. Runner-up was EA Sports FC 24, which sold well in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Bronze went to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The shooter did particularly well in Belgium, France and the UK. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Party Jamboree finished on the podium eight and five times respectively in the individual country rankings.

In the separately compiled German Games Annual Charts, which are categorised by platform, EA Sports FC 25 tops the charts on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S. Super Mario Party Jamboree heads the Switch charts, while Farming Simulator 25 leads the PC charts. Grand Theft Auto V tops the Xbox One charts. Again, only physically sold boxed versions were tracked.
