Pontus Rundqvist, Raw Fury: In Indie Publishing, Pick Your Lane!
Pontus Rundqvist, Senior Brand Manager at Raw Fury, says indie publishers can be great if they know what their vision is, storefronts can do more for self-publishing indies and indie publishers, and has thoughts about a 'European' games industry. We interviewed him at Nordic Game 2026.
Pontus Rundqvist at Nordic Game 2026 (Pascal Wagner, GamesMarket)
GamesMarket: Let me start out with a little anecdote: Kingdom, made by Thomas van den Berg and later published by Raw Fury, was one of the first games I reviewed professionally, long before I interviewed Raw Fury founder Gordon van Dyke at gamescom 2023 about Kingdom: Eighties (article in German). How much is that game series embedded into the Raw Fury DNA?
Rundqvist: Raw Fury was created to publish that game. It was a collaboration just for that in the beginning. Everything you see of Raw Fury today is built on the success of Kingdom.
