One week before Opening Night Live, Koelnmesse and game provided an update on the figures and programme for gamescom at the traditional pre-show press conference. Initial records were announced for the number of country pavilions and the exhibition space.

One week before the start of the show, gamescom is well on its way to new record heights. This was also confirmed by the organisers from Koelnmesse and game at the traditional pre-show press conference. A brief update on the current figures was provided. The number of exhibitors currently stands at over 1,500 from 72 countries. Although this figure usually rises sharply shortly before the start of the fair due to numerous last-minute registrations, there are already more exhibitors than last year.

However, gamescom has already set new records in two other KPIs. With 40 country pavilions, there are more than ever before. Not only is partner country Thailand participating with a joint stand for the first time, but also Argentina, Dubai, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan and Japan, the motherland of video games.

Another record was also set for gross exhibition space. gamescom 2025 will cover a total of 233,000 square metres, occupying more space at the exhibition centre than before the coronavirus pandemic, which also resulted in downsizing for gamescom.

The organisers did not give any specific figures for ticket sales. However, Koelnmesse CEO Gerald Böse said that more trade visitor tickets had already been sold than in the previous year.
